Growing up in Mount Laurel, New Jersey Dr. Jessica Austin aspired to be a veterinarian at a very young age. Her drive to find a profession that “shows patience, compassion and kindness towards others” led her to the field. She says, “veterinarians are advocates for animals, a counselor for pet owners and a mentor for aspiring veterinarians.” She earned her undergraduate degree in pre-veterinary medicine and animal biosciences from the University of Delaware. She went on to obtain her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Her professional interests include surgery, radiology, ophthalmology and cardiology. She is a proud member of the AVMA, NJVMA, AAFP and IVIS.
She shares her home with her tabby cat Boi and enjoys being outdoors, watching Netflix, spending times with friends and family and going to the beach and movies.
